Aside from what others have said about your true intentions, if you really are simply interested in learning about math from a not-the-best-but-still-good university, after being a civil engineer I did exactly that. Mind you I am working on my first Bachelor's at 28, not a Master's, but I think it translates similarly.Top engineering schools will often expect at least a 700 in SAT Math or a 30 in ACT Math. If you take SAT Subject Tests, be sure to take Math 2 as one of your tests and aim for the highest score you can to further prove your math skills. Look up the pomodoro method. I notice its more effective for me at least. Believe you can do this. Yes engineering is a lot of math, you will find your way. After you finish calculus, it will be easy. During calculus, you will struggle. Then you will struggle in calc 2. Also know your basics. algebra, pre-calc stuff.If you expect to solve calculus problems all day in an engineering job then you have the wrong impression. It is more about finding the simplest mathematical model that includes all important aspects of the problem you are trying to solve, then using this model to get some rough starting point, then optimizing with the tools.
